Bookies already make it a three way battle for next seasons final top four spot
The ink might still be drying on the Premier League standings for the 2012-13 season, but the bookies are already ready to take a punt on which teams will finish inside the top four next season. The two Manchester giants are expected to retain their supremacy in the league table and are odds on favourites to secure a top four finish, while the bookmakers believe that Chelsea’s new manager Jose Mourinho will be far too good for the chasing bunch, making them cinches pretty much too.
Hence, the bookmakers are back to where we started, announcing courtesy the odds that they are offering that the battle for the fourth and final spot in the Champions League places is once again expected to be three way tussle, this time though with Liverpool expected to contest with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham for that bumper prize money winning berth.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are expected to bolster their squads this summer, but it is Liverpool who the bookies are keeping a rather close eye on, though departures of top players is likely to affect Arsenal less this season, and their rivals a lot more.
