Not the most glamorous ties in the African Cup of Nations it has to be said but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some good bets to be had on the game between Botswana and Guinea with either team offering a handsome bet for the right price.

A quick look around the markets see’s most given the edge to Guinea with Pinnacle offering evens for a victory, though with the form of the two teams questionable after both Botswana and Guinea lost their opening matches 1-0 against stronger opponents I thought the odds would be more even.

Botswana’s odds over at Pinnacle of 18/5 are a good chance of picking up some cash, the Botswana side gave a good account of themselves against Ghana and I’m surprised the book makers have not picked up on this, which is good news for the average punter.

Both sides will look for a first victory in the African Cup of Nations this term but a win for either team could see their chances of qualifying significantly improve given that the current leaders Ghana entertain second place Mali later today.

An interesting bet is on the correct score market. Both sides have not scored a goal in the ACN this time around and a bet on a 0-0 draw is currently priced at 13/2 with Stan James which is interesting considering both sides have failed to hit the net.

History doesn’t suggest this could be a high scoring affair and a 2-2 draw is an outsiders bet at 26/1 with Canbet. Interestingly Canbet also has Botswana 28/1 to beat Guinea 2-0 which is a dark horse.
