Fulham at home vs a lower league side is as good as gold a pick. I don’t care if the odds are too low, as you can always use them in a double with some other pick of your choice. (But hurry up, as the odds keep dropping down)

These two last played in each other in 1998-99 in League One, and each won at home. County’s semi-perfect run of 6 wins and a draw came to a halt in the midweek when they lost away to Bournemouth. They still have 4-5 games in hand though that are sure to take them up the table although they are already holding on to the last of the play-offs spots.

Fulham at home only lost to Aston Villa recently. The last time they were defeated at the Cottage before that was last September when Arsenal came here and took the points. Since then they only drew to Roma, Bolton and Tottenham, while registering 10 home wins in all competitions in the process.

Roy Hodgson appears to be determined in keeping the Cottagers run in the cup alive, as he is set to name an unchanged starting XI to those that conquered Burnley by 3-0 in the midweek. Konchesky and Gera could be included albeit on the bench.

County have no injury/fitness/suspension worries, so they also appear to be at full strength, but even that won’t be enough to convince me to bet on them at the Cottage. Not even with Schmeichel in goal.

I’ll probably use the Fulham outright win in a double as I hinted, but if you intend to play only singles, there are 2 bets on this game. The obvious home win and over 2.5 goals. Notts known to play offensive football, and the fact they had scored 54 goals in 26 League One games to date is proof enough. They have a stiff defense though, but not enough to keep the Cottagers from winning at home.

Picks:

Fulham -1 A.H. @ 1.80 w/ Stan James
Over 2.5 goals @ 1.94 w/ Pinnacle
