We can certainly make a case for the visitors if we wanted to, but we choose to back the home win never the less.

Liverpool started with a home draw to Arsenal, before they ended up on the wrong side of a 0-3 defeat at Man City. yet the Reds have done well in the midweek winning away at Turkey, and now that the Mascherano issue is over and done with we expect a fully concentrated Liverpool side (although there’s every chance of some tired legs), and although Joe Cole is still out on suspension, welcoming Gerrard back (after missing the European trip) is a big boost.

How about West Brom? The team opened their season with an ‘expected’ hammering by Chelsea (0-6) but have surprised us by winning their home game vs Sunderland last weekend. Now they step out of their den again to face yet another one of the bigger names in EPL, and we would expect them to lose although -as mentioned earlier- we could make a case for them after Liverpool’s European quest.

Alas, we stick by our prediction that WBA will be relegated by the end of the season, and we suggest a point at Anfield is out of the Baggies reach. useless odds on the home win though.
