This game could really go either way. The home side are no pushovers and can be disturbing to many sides, including the Welsh who had a year ago lost in a friendly here by 1-2. They also drew to Bulgaria, Ireland and Cyprus during the last WC qualifying campaign, beating Georgia and losing only to Italy.
In a most recent friendly, Montenegro also beat Northern Ireland by 2-0, so they are certainly capable of beating Wales on their day. They do have some stars in their squad as well, the most notable of which is A.S. Roma’s Mirko Vucinic.
However, Wales also had a 5-1 win over Luxembourg recently, and the team appears to have a mixture of youth and experience with a few talents like Craig Bellamy and the ‘sky rocketing’ Gareth Bale who has been on fire of late with Spurs.
Obviously neither of the two will have a realistic chance to go through with England, Switzerland and Bulgaria being the other 3 sides in the group. However, it’s crucial for each to try and get maximum points here in order to stay in contention. The loser will have already been disqualified.
No bet game for us.
