QPR v Arsenal match preview and prediction
Arsenal visit Loftus Road to play QPR looking to cement their position for the Champions League qualification spot.
QPR’s fate was sealed to Championship football last weekend, when they were held to a 0-0 draw against Reading.
The London outfit have won just two games out of their last 14 in all competitions and haven’t scored in the last three.
Arsenal on the other hand are desperate to hold on to their top four spot and manager Arsene Wenger will be looking nothing less than a victory tonight.
Arsenal were in serious danger of missing out of Champions League football untill May when they went seven points behind Spurs; but an eight-match unbeaten streak since that defeat has seen Arsenal moving to fourth place having played a game more.
For QPR, Shaun Wright-Phillips (ankle) and DJ Campbell (metatarsal fracture) are sure to miss the tie, while Arsenal will be without goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski (rib) and midfielder Abou Diaby (knee) while Olivier Giroud is still suspended.
It is easy to expect a comfortable victory for Arsenal but it is exactly these sort of matches that spring shocks and for value purposes only it may be worth following QPR to get a shock home win.
