Real Madrid massive favourites to be Luis Suarez next club
Ever since Luis Suarez had bitten Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanović’s arm, despite Liverpool’s staunch stance of support, it became day-light evident that the Uruguayan’s days are numbered at the Anfield club.
Suarez spoke about his frustrations of being treated unfairly by the English media serves as a fine connotation of his intentions of leaving the club. Probably, he loves the club and the fans, and given a chance would want to stay here too, but can the club keep him if top European clubs come up with loads and loads of cash?
His agent said those quotes were blown out of proportion, but there cannot be any doubt that Suarez is feeling restless at Anfield. A player of his caliber want to play Champions League football, and his wishes should not be seen as a blemish on the face of loyalty.
He has always been a committed player on pitch and always gave his best. It is highly understandable why he wants a move now. This summer is massive for the Reds. Brendan Rodgers have enjoyed a long honeymoon period, where he was given time to impose his ideas. But, this season, he must act. That too, diligently.
Real Madrid are firm favourites to land the Uruguayan. They have already lost one big battle off the pitch with Barcelona over the signature of Neymar; they would hardly stoop down bracing other defeats.
The interest from Madrid is genuine. There have been reports in Marca that Suarez has already agreed fees with the Los Blancos. European champions Bayern Munich and Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid are also interested in him.
