Werder need to win to guarantee their place in next season’s CL. A draw maybe good enough if Leverkusen fail to win by 4 or more, while a defeat could see the hosts settling for a place in the Europe League instead.
Hamburg lost their balance for long and I wouldn’t make much of their 4-0 home win over Nurnberg last weekend. They’re probably not good enough to beat Werder at Bremen, especially with absolutely nothing to gain from it either.
