Resurgent again Stoke are playing guests to struggling Wigan, and my initial thought was to leave it alone.
Unbeaten in 6 (4 EPL), Stoke do not look like the side you should be opposing against bottom sides. Yet again, they have only won once on their travels in this season’s EPL schedule, and it makes me wonder whether they should keep their unbeaten run.
Wigan on the other hand are winless in 5 now (3 EPL) and it does not look good for them in the relegation struggle either.
The recent H2H is not reassuring for the home side either. They lost 2 and drew 2 of their last 4 against Stoke, so –once again- I am a little bit confused as to which side to back on this one.
Gohouri won’t play as he is out injured, but that’s about all that Wigan will be missing.
Likewise, Stoke only have Faye to worry about, as they have no fresh injuries/suspensions. Even faye could be fit to play after all.
I’ll gamble by stating I think it would be a draw. The home side are out of form, and the visitors cannot win for love or for money on the road, so it’s got to be the draw!
