The next Premier League manager to go has always been a huge betting market and with managers leaving left right and centre in the past few years it can give the average betting person a chance to win some money whilst maybe feeling sorry for the poor soul who has just lost his job.

Its January and we’re told this is when the Premier League enters the business end of the season, with relegation candidates hoping to claim precious points and managers facing the end of their tenture after an awful first half of the season and the expectation of fans and chairmans become too much. Step forward Mick McCarthy who is a clear favourite at a less than impressive 2/5 on to be the next Premier League manager to pick up his P45, the odds on him are rubbish but I’ve got a sneaky feeling that he may well survive for a few more months as he always does. Whilst results aren’t going his way at this moment in time, the Wolves board will know they come good around March and could secure their top flight status on the last day again.

Skybet give some generous odds on this type of market and the odds of 18/1 for David Moyes to go are worth a punt. Everton have failed to win in four and could be in a relegation battle by the end of February and with a small budget via player sales it could well be time for the talented scot to seek other avenues, 18/1 is a great bet helped by the fact the market isn’t reliant on the sacking of a manager.

Another punt that could easily come through is Wigan’s Roberto Martinez at 11/1 again with Skybet. His time looks to be running out at Wigan as they just can’t seem to perform against teams around them and this may ultimately cost the Spaniard.
