One team than confuses me in EPL is Tottenham, as they seem to play better away from the Lane this season. Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but still, I’m certain this will be the case today,a s they already lost at home to Wolves and I can’t see them losing tonight.

Some may call Wolves unlucky not to have earned a point at Birmingham, but if you had read my preview of the game that was exactly the scoreline I expected. I even hinted Doyle would be their lonely goal scorer.

Mick McCarthey is likely to make alterations to his starting line-up following that defeat at Birmingham, as Wolves have become more and more “endangered species” in EPL.

Guedioura may be given a chance from the beginning, but still no Kightly, Keogh, Murray or Edwards.

Spurs are to rest their skipper Ledley King, as his prone to injury knee cannot handle more than a game per week. Bassong is the likely replacement alongside vice-captain Michael Dawson, but it could be that returning former player Younes Kaboul who will take King’s place.

New signing Gudjohnsen also will play for sometime, but still no Assou-Ekotto, Pavlyuchenko, Cudicini, and most important no Lennon or Woodgate.

If Wolves need the points to escape relegation, Tottenham also need them to keep the hunt for European football next season. Just a solitary win from their last 5 EPL games has seen them slip down behind Liverpool and Man City, and it could be that Aston Villa will also leapfrog them if they fail to win the 3 points tonight. Villa are already breathing down Spurs neck only 2 points away with a game in hand, and it would be a heart breaker to see Spurs not only forfeiting the CL 4th slot, but the top 6 altogether.

Since September 1981 though, Spurs have won each and every game vs Wolves, with the exception of this season’s reverse fixture of course. That’s 6-0-1 from the last 7 H2H games, and I would rather think Redknapp can still keep his side in the hunt for Europe.
